This year we went to kaikoura for camp and we stayed a a marae called takahanga marae it was really cool there.click onj my slideshow and see what had done while we were there.

We were learning to write our own explanations. Whaea Katie shared us a slideshow and it had in a list of household items and we could choose one of them or choose our own.For my explanation i choose a vacuum cleaner.

Mahi toi
This week my class has started on a piece of art we are learning to use warm and cool colors it is really fun we are doing this piece of art for the art soiree.

 Geometry
This week for maths we have been working on geometry shapes we have been doing it for a game named angry birds (Nga manu riri) we have also written about the shape as well.

Te aroturuki
Our class have been doing a self monitoring checklist and we also have to help our Teina to do theirs as well and at the end of the week Whaea katie takes a photo of the Teinas ones and the Tuakana do theirs on there Chromebooks and every week we have to make a new copy and Whaea katie puts the Teinas ones into a slideshow for them after she takes a photo.

Bubble.us
This week we used a app called bubble.us and we had to choose a creature and i choose a dragon we had to describe it.

Matariki cupcakes
We made matariki cupcakes kahya made one icing and the teacher made another icing we all had a turn at decorating a cupcake and then we had to have a photo with our cupcake then we could eat it.

What now

On Wednesday the 24th of August the kapahaka group and lots of people went down to the train station to welcome What Now off the train and Springfield school was on the train with them as well.When the train arrived everybody got really excited.When Bianca, Chris and Springfield school got of the train we did a snapchat to Ronnie because Ronnie was in Auckland for a holiday. We did a haka for What Now and Springfield school. At the end of the haka What Now and Springfield school started screaming at us because that's how good we were. After that What Now gave Springfield school a bottle of gunge each to give to us and then we got their signatures. After all that we took some photos then they said that they had to go. So Springfield school and What Now got on the train and we got on the bus and all the parents got into there cars and then we left to go back to school.

This week we have learnt a new waiata and it is called Ka mau te wehi it has actions we learnt about respect.

Maths
This week we are working on a task called Te Toamaha and we are using spreadsheets to record our work.

Trading
This week we went up to room 10 and there were people from Shantytown and we had to get dressed up for them because we were doing a show about trading and we had groups but some of us were by themselves we learnt about trading before money was here.

This week we are playing on a app and it is called kahoot whaea katie gives us a code and we type it in we can make a kahoot whaea katies makes some of the kahoots and we play them

This week for writing we got given another pobble picture from whaea katie we had a choice out of it must be magic or circle of flames and i choose it must be magic

This week we had to do a stop motion saying thank you to kiwi bank for letting us use banqer for the year

Easter weekend

On Saturday  in blackball there was a fair at the community center and we brought alot of things then we went home and my mum my nan meladi and kim went into town and me manaia memphis and milahn stayed home they went to town to go shopping and when they  came home they put the the stuff on for the hangi and while the hangi was cooking we were playing touch and rugby then the hangi was ready and we eat it was very good then nan memphis and meladi went home to otira. me and milahn went to our friends house and we went for a walk  then came back home and watch 10 movies then we all went to bed.

Variety bash

This morning at Grey Main School we had a variety bash and there were people giving things out.There were lots of cars there was a car with a cupcake on top of it. There was thing 1 and a thing 2 car with people dressed up as them driving the car. There were lots of really awesome cars there anyway. My favorite car was the car that had a cupcake on top of it. At the end of the variety bash we had a magic show and the person who was doing the magic show his name was super. Super did really funny dancing moves and he had funny facials. Supers tricks were really amazing he is really good at doing magic.It was really fun.

1. I have brown skin because my Mum she got angry  and started to splash me with mud.

2. My hair is curly because when I was younger I ate too much pasta

for breakfast.

3. I have black hair because my Sister put Black paint in my conditioner bottle and has stayed black ever since.

4. I have short hair because when my dad was cutting down the gorse I went to go and see what he was doing and he didn’t know that I was there and he went to go and cut the gorse but instead of the gorse he cut my hair and that is why my hair is short.

5. The reason why I go to grey main school is because when I came out of my mum I was grey and I was her main child and she wanted me to go to a really good school.

6. I can fly because when I was younger I really loved birds bats and seagulls and then I went on a plane and I went flying out the window and that is why I can fly

7. I am really helpful because when I was 1  people would always help me at things so that is why I am really helpful for other people.

The reason why I am short because when I was 3 my mum was making a tree house and she was nailing in a nail and she went to go and put down the hammer and she fell and the hammer went on hammering on my head and I realized that I was shrinking and then she went to go and get up and she didn’t realize that her hand still had the hammer in it and the hammer went and did a big dong on my head

11. The reason why I love art is because when I was 7 my mum used to always give me a piece of paper and a pencil and I used to always scribble on the paper everyday she used to always give me piece of paper and she used to always draw with me as well so that is why I love art.
